While Teslas AI Day 2022 could look pretty similar to last year, it could also feature some major updates, and, according to CEO Elon Musk, it will include Optimus the robot.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has officially confirmed that his first humanoid robot will be a talking point at Teslas AI Day, moving the date of the event from Aug. 19 to Sept. 30, because of Optimuss likely availability as a prototype on the latter date.
Elon Musk said that at his AI Day 2022, he expected a large number of hardware demonstrations, presumably Tesla Optimus, as well as many technical details — he again reiterated it was aimed at experts, as part of the recruitment drive, rather than aimed at a wider audience.

Tesla certainly would have Tesla’s hands full with the construction of the Dojo, and integrating of Dojos for training their AI, but responding to a question from a person at the AI Day, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the company likely will not be selling their customized cabinets as a business.
Teslas AI Day is therefore an event that is partly a job fair, with the goal of recruiting top talent, and partly to show off the progress Tesla (TSLA) is making on its mission to transform humankind and build an abundance-filled AI future, producing one of its machines — the humanoid Robo-humanoid — can take over for humans.
