Samsung Buds – Samsung Original Galaxy Buds & Features 

The Samsung latest Buds and the latest model makes impressive strides in battery life. The lifespan can last you up to seven to eleven hours on a single charge, and the charging case is now increased to 22 (Twenty-two) hours before everything needs to be juiced back up. In situations where the buds are completely dead, charging them for just three minutes over USB-C will get you an hour of playing time. If you happen to own a pair of Samsung’s original Galaxy Buds, you’ll now be able to do more with them.

The company has released a new software update for the truly wireless headphones that bring over a couple of features that were previously exclusive to the newer Galaxy Buds+.

Samsung has just announced its second-generation true wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Plus. They feature a design that’s more or less identical to the original Galaxy Buds but offers a number of improvements.

The Galaxy Buds Plus is priced at $149 and will come in black, white, and blue color options. The most notable enhancement is the addition of an improved ambient sound mode. You can enable the feature to work automatically, as well as with just one of the earbuds in your ear. Samsung says the enhanced ambient sound functionality gives Galaxy Buds owners more options on how they tune out — or, in this case, tune in — to their surroundings.

The update also adds support for Windows 10’s Swift Pair protocol, which should make pairing the earbuds with a PC faster and easier. Lastly, you can now set the tap and hold action to launch Spotify. If you repeat the action, Spotify will follow up with playlist recommendations.

Features Of The Samsung Bud

 The new features won’t make the Galaxy Buds the equal of Samsung’s newer headphones, but they will at least help narrow the gap between the two devices. To download the update, you’ll need Android 5.0 or later as well as the latest version of Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app.

Samsung is pushing out an update to its original Galaxy Buds, adding features cherry-picked from its more expensive Galaxy Buds+ to the older, cheaper pair. Launched in early 2019, Samsung’s answer to Apple AirPods got solid reviews with their decent audio, lengthy battery life, and wireless charging convenience.

The Samsung Bud Functionality

The Galaxy Buds+, released earlier this year, raised the stakes again, though the delta between the two sets probably wasn’t wide enough to make original owners feel the overwhelming urge to upgrade. That’s likely to be even more the case today, with Samsung’s new update.

For example, it adds to the existing Ambient Sound mode the earbuds offer, which pipes through some of the surrounding noise to give you a better understanding of the current environment. With this new firmware, Ambient Sound on the Galaxy Buds will work with even one earbud in.

It’s also getting automatic enabling. Put the Buds in, and Ambient sound will automatically turn on; it’ll then switch off when you pull them out again.

Another new feature is personalized music playlist access. If you’re a Spotify user, the Galaxy Buds tap & hold gesture will launch the music app and automatically begin playback where you last left on. A subsequent tap will bring up a recommended playlist instead.

Finally, there are improvements to how Galaxy Buds work with a PC. If you have Windows 10, you can now use Microsoft Swift Pair to quickly connect to your notebook or desktop via Bluetooth. There’s support for multiple pairings across mobile and PC, too, as long as you’re using a Windows 10 machine and Samsung Easy Pair. The new firmware is being released today. You’ll need the latest version of Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app, and a smartphone running Android L OS or higher, with more than 1.5 GB of RAM.
